Dubai, UAE; January 9, 2019: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) today commenced the operation of an exclusive Dubai Ferry route for Emaar’s visitors and residents linking The Dubai Mall, the world’s most-visited retail and lifestyle destination in Downtown Dubai, and Dubai Marina Mall.

Inaugurated in the presence of senior officials of RTA and Emaar, the new Dubai Ferry service will add to the delight of visitors to Downtown Dubai and Dubai Marina, as well as tourist groups and Emaar residents, as it links two of the most popular lifestyle destinations in the city through an environment-friendly urban transport service.

The new service builds on an earlier agreement signed between RTA and Emaar’s At the Top, Burj Khalifa to promote the sale of Dubai Ferry tickets to the popular tourist attraction in the iconic tower.

The ferry service, for a duration of about 1 hour 20 minutes one-way, will offer Emaar’s residents and tourists a new perspective to the city’s skyline. Assuring majestic views of the cityscape – from The Palm Islands to the skyscrapers along Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Canal, the ferry will ply between the Dubai Marina ferry station, located behind the Dubai Marina Mall, and Al Wajeha Al Maeyah station, from where a complimentary shuttle service will take guests to reach The Dubai Mall and back.

The much-awaited Emaar NYE 2019 show, themed ‘time and progression’, was accomplished using advanced software and involved thousands of hours of work. The pyrotechnics were put together by a team of over 40 professionals, and over 250 experts worked on the laser and light show.

Inspiring visuals celebrating the heritage of the nation kicked off the event which went on for eight minutes on the Burj Khalifa’s LED façade. Adding to the allure was the performance of The Dubai Fountain, the longest show to date of the water-music spectacle.

The Emaar NYE 2019 Gala reached its feverish pitch as the countdown to the New Year began. The laser and light display that charmed the world as part of the Emaar New Year’s Eve Gala will continue through March with two distinct sets of experiences. The shows will be complemented by the performances of The Dubai Fountain, ensuring that visitors to Downtown Dubai will continue to be regaled during Dubai’s busy tourist season.

From January 1 to 5, a shorter version of the Emaar NYE 2019 gala will be displayed that will include laser, light and The Dubai Fountain shows. These will be held at 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

From January 8 to March 31, the shorter version of NYE gala will be displayed daily once from Tuesday to Saturday. There will also be two separate laser and light shows from the extensive LED display library of Burj Khalifa. The shows on Tuesday and Wednesday will be at 7.15pm, 8pm and 9.15pm, and from Thursday to Saturday at 6.45pm, 8pm and 9.45pm.

The laser and light displays, which were part of the Emaar NYE 2019 Gala, narrate the story of the UAE under the theme ‘time and progression’. It highlights the heritage of the nation, its progress over the years, and its future ambitions including the Mars Mission. Abstract motifs highlight the continued forward journey of the country.

A veritable showcase of events and in-mall activities will mark The Dubai Mall 10Year Celebrations from November 4-28.

  • 10 Years of Entertainment:The highlight of the ‘Entertainment’ showcase is a mesmerising sound and light show presented by Lune Rouge, the new live entertainment company created by visionary entrepreneur, Guy Laliberté, Founder of Cirque du Soleil. Entitled,‘Talisman’, this stunning visual experience showcases video, lighting, lasers and special effects to create and immersive multimedia experiencthat will play nightly at Star Atrium
  • 10 Years of Fashion:More than 40 fashion brands will be holding events and activations during the celebrations. In addition, from November 15-24, The Dubai Mall presents ‘Vogue Loves Fashion Avenue’, a 10-day event inspired by the world’s fashion capitals in an experiential celebration of iconic cities and brands. A partnership between The Dubai Mall and Vogue Arabia, the event will feature four immersive zones in Fashion Avenue where guests can experience dynamic installations, photo moments and ambient programming.   • 10 Years of Shopping:Indulge in the best of retail as shoppers stand the chance to win the ultimate prize, a luxurious new apartment from Emaar Properties. There are three homes up for grabs, with a winner announced every Friday night during the Talismanshow, in addition to daily prizes of AED 10,000 in Emaar Gift Cards. Furthermore, surprises await members of the Emaar Malls Rewards Programme during the month.
  • 10 Years of Giving: Daily wishes and surprises will delight shoppers and fans throughout the 10thCelebrations. In the spirit of giving, The Dubai Mall will launch a ‘Wishing Tower’, which invites visitors to make a wish via social media, for the chance to have them come true. In addition, a roaming Birthday Squad from The Dubai Mall will be surprising visitors with random acts of kindness with paid-for meals and other dining experiences.

November’s notable occasions will take on a new dimension on this 10thAnniversary, including Diwali, which will be celebrated with a unique floating art installation called ‘Voyage’ by Aether & Hemera from November 1 to December 2. Enjoyed from the waterfront promenade, guests can interact with this artwork using their mobile phones to change patterns and colours to create a magical, photo-perfect landscape.  Live performances by Bollywood dancers will launch Diwali festivities.

To mark UAE Flag Day, The Dubai Mall has commissioned a special artwork of the UAE Flag, on display from November 1 -11 near the Grand Atrium. At 180m in length, the installation serves as a prominent reminder of the nation’s past, present and future. Finally, United Nations together with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA), will be hosting an arresting photography exhibition titled ‘People on the Move’ from October 24 – November 20.

Throughout the 10 Year Celebrations, The Dubai Mall retailers will be showcasing special offers, exclusive products, unexpected events and in-store activations. This will complete the exciting programme of happenings across the entire mall.

Dubai, UAE; October 17, 2018: The General Meeting of Emaar Development (DFM: EMAARDEV), the UAE build-to-sell property development business majority-owned by Emaar Properties PJSC (DFM: EMAAR), approved the distribution of AED 1.04 billion (US$ 283.15 million), representing 26 per cent of the share capital being 26 fils per share, as special cash dividend to the company’s shareholders. The special dividend was approved just as the company marks a year of its successful listing on the Dubai Financial Market.

The flagship developer of the UAE, Emaar Development has an impressive portfolio of 10 world-class destinations. These include the wholly-owned mega-developments such as Downtown Dubai, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Marina and Emirates Living; joint venture projects including Dubai Hills Estate, Emaar South and Zabeel Square; and a joint development project – Dubai Creek Harbour, the 6 square kilometre mega-development by the historic creek, anchored by the new global icon, Dubai Creek Tower. Another key development is Emaar Beachfront, a 10 million square feet of Miami style destination offering exclusive access to residents to a private beach and uninterrupted views of the Arabian Sea, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and the Dubai skyline.

The company reported a net profit of AED 1.82 billion (US$ 496 million) during the first six months (January to June) of 2018 and revenue of AED 6.99 billion (US$ 1.90 billion), led by the on-schedule progress in construction and timely project delivery. Emaar Development reported total sales of AED 6.23 billion (US$ 1.70 billion) during H1 2018. Emaar now has a total sales backlog of over AED 38.50 billion (US$ 10.48 billion), majority of which will be recognised as revenue over the next three to four years.

Emaar Development has launched the sale of over 3,600 residential units across its mega developments in Dubai during the first half of the year, and now has a development pipeline of over 60 residential projects in the UAE with over 28,000 units. Construction is progressing as per schedule for handover of the first waterfront homes in Dubai Creek Harbour next year. New construction milestones have been achieved for the delivery of homes in Dubai Hills Estate, Emaar South, Emaar Beachfront and Downtown Dubai too.
